Today is National Poetry Day. We had some special visitors delivering our assembly on Monday to celebrate this.
Mel and Jon are local poets. They also brought retired guide dog JJ with them! Mel and Jon shared some poems with us. Jon told us one about even though he is pretty much blind, he can still pick up his dog’s mess when on a walk - the children found this poem very funny!
This week in school children have been working on poetry in their English lessons.
It’s been great to see and hear the wonderful things they’ve been doing.
