SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT

School Improvement

Tillington Manor Primary School is always seeking to develop as part of our commitment to provide the best education for our children and to provide th best professional development for our staff.

Over the past couple of years, Tillington Manor Primary School has been on a forward moving journey. Tillington Manor has developed in many areas so that our vision of ‘Working Together to achieve the best’ becomes a reality rather than an aspiration so that high standards are achieved by all and improvements have been made. Despite the numerous challenges faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic everybody, who is part of the Tillington team, has worked together to ensure that our pupils and families have been fully supported. Within a school improvement journey, to achieve the best, there is always work to be done & improvements to be made. With a new leadership team in place, who knows the school well, now is the time to reflect upon, embed and refine the excellence that we have worked so hard to develop and make steps to be even better!

Our Mission is to work together to allow children to become successful learners in a happy and caring environment where they can flourish to develop to their full potential.

Our vision is to prepare our children for the rapidly changing world through a stimulating environment where all achievements are limitless. We are an inclusive school that endeavours to be at the very core of our local community.  In 2019, Ofsted commented that ‘Tillington Manor Primary is a welcoming and inclusive school. Pupils from different walks of life get along well. Classrooms are places where pupils work together happily.’

At this point in our journey with a new leadership team in place, now is the time to consider what really matters and what makes the difference by investing in what is important. This means doing our best, striving for the best and showing the best in every single thing that we do to be even better. With everybody determined to show the everyday excellence at Tillington Manor Primary School, we are sure to strengthen our vision of ‘Working Together to Achieve the BEST! The best for our children, the best for our staff and the best for our community. We are Team Tillington and proud of our school.

Covid19

In June 2020 the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus (COVID19). This is especially important for the most vulnerable pupils and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds who we know have been most affected.

Schools should use this funding for specific activities to support their pupils’ education recovery in line with the curriculum expectations.

At Tillington Manor Primary School, we are committed to supporting children to socially and academically recover from the pandemic.
